Synergize v12.3 Announcement: Features and Enhancements

April 2012 — The following release notes outline the main features and enhancements of Synergize v12.3:

Synergize Server v12.3

  • 64-bit Native Support for Windows 2008 -64
  • Synergize Server v12.3 now works in 64-bit native mode
  • Full support is still maintained on Windows 2003 – 32bit servers as well

Accounts Payable Repository

As of v12.3, we have introduced the creation of Synergize Accounts Payable Repositories.

A new pre-configured and ready to use Synergize Accounts Payable Solution has been developed with v12.3 as a pre-requisite. The solution enables organizations to streamline the accounts payable process through electronic workflow, an enhanced invoice approval process, and automatic document matching.

Electronic Forms for Synergize AP Solution (iForm)

As part of the new Synergize Accounts Payable Solution, an iForm document has been created to further improve processing efficiencies. The iForm document is a detailed sheet that travels with the invoice in Synergize and breaks down the invoice’s GL Codes. This provides a payment overview and eliminates the need to manage GL Codes in the Accounting System, thereby reducing corrections transactions, saving time and making it easier for the accounting department to process the invoice.

Synergize Viewer is now able to display files with the following extensions as a PDF; (.doc, .dot, .docx, .docm, .dotx, .dotm, .rtf, .odt, .ott, .pdf, .jpg, .bmp, .png, .xlsx, .xls). As a result, the native application to view the file is not required. Files can still be displayed in native formats.

Encryption

As of v12.3, we have added the ability to encrypt the sensitive Synergize Web Service requests from Synergize Web Client.

Known Limitations

  • Accounts Payable and DB2
  • Accounts Payable Repositories are only supported for SQL Server repositories.
