Red Classic automates processes and gains efficiencies

Five different types of shipping documents will be managed electronically

Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada (March 3, 2015) – Microdea Inc. today announces that Red Classic, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, has selected Microdea’s Synergize document management system to manage their proof of deliveries, bills of lading, weight receipts, reimbursement transactions, and rate confirmations. Integrated with TMW Systems’ transportation management software TMWSuite®, the shipping documents will come to Red Classic via TRANSFLO®, then will be classified and saved automatically.

In addition, Red Classic will deploy the Synergize MS-Outlook® integration module allowing users to save documents to Synergize from within their email and associate them to shipments in TMWSuite. As well, the Synergize OCR process will be implemented to identify and automatically save documents. By strategically mapping the Synergize OCR engine, Red Classic will “train” the process to recognize and classify their rate confirmation form, plus other forms that come to them from customers or carriers. Workflows will be implemented to notify the appropriate department about exceptions or documents that require time-sensitive action. Once the system is fully implemented, any document related to an order or load in Red Classic’s system will be retrievable electronically from anywhere across their 50 southeastern US locations.

According to John Hagan, Red Classic’s Sr. Manager of Systems & Business Integrations, “Using Synergize will provide us with automation and efficiency gains so that the staff who currently manage these processes will become more productive. We’ll be able to continue growing the business without having to hire additional staff. Looking ahead, I anticipate increasing our investment into Synergize for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and expanding our partnership with Microdea.”
