Express Havre St-Pierre streamlines workflow and expedites billing process

Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada  (June 24, 2014)Industrial and commercial transportation firm Express Havre St-Pierre of Varennes, Quebec has  implemented the Synergize document management software solution to manage their proof of delivery (POD) and bill of lading (BOL) documentation. With a fleet of 60 trucks and 60 drivers working out of six terminals, the firm generates 5,000 PODs and up to 8,000 pages of BOLs each month.

Express Havre St-Pierre has established scanner points at four of their terminals, located in the Quebec cities of Varennes, Sept-Îles, and Havre-Saint-Pierre plus Labrador City, Newfoundland. Drivers deliver their PODs and BOLs to the terminal’s billing department team who then scan the material into Synergize, allowing for immediate document access across the entire organization.  Previously, scanning was completed only at their head office location, resulting in a 4-6 day wait to obtain the documents essential to billing. With Synergize, the team has cut time to access documents by half, resulting in streamlined workflow and faster, more accurate billing.

The value is definitely there.” Future plans include an interface directly into their third party billing system, and a secure portal for their own clients to access documents in Synergize.
