Microdea’s Synergize Advanced Workflow Module further enhances workflow by allowing queues to be automatically monitored and decisions made based on lookups or document data. This enables actions to be triggered, for example during the accounts payable process, when an user sends an invoice to be approved, the module automatically monitors the invoice and places it in the right department based on its GL Code. Essentially, the module automates behind the scenes processing according to business rules.

No user intervention is required in queues that the Synergize Advanced Workflow Module is monitoring. It is able to automatically perform logical steps and make document distribution choices. A document’s status changes either by a lookup (when changes in other systems occur), or when a new document arrives. For example, an invoice cannot advance to the “To Pay” queue until the Pack Slip arrives. The arrival of the Pack Slip automatically triggers the invoice to be sent to the “To Pay” queue. Also, in the case that a similar document already exists in a queue, the pre-cursor feature automatically sends the document to the "Complete" queue and replaces it with the more current document.
