In this edition we would like to provide you with a Tip and a Trick that can assist you to better utilize your Synergize system.

1) Maintain clean workflow designs by utilizing the Scenario Override and Arrow Labeling features.

The Scenario Override feature enables administrators to move documents from any queue to any queue. For example, if a document mistakenly passes a queue in the process that it needs to return to, an administrator can correct this user error without having to create a process path to the queue and corrupt the integrity of the process. Logs record and display the administrator’s name, which document was moved, and to which queue it was moved to, so the action is still available but it does not clutter the workflow design.

Use the Arrow Labeling feature in the Synergize Workflow Designer to make the workflow process more visually descriptive. Simply double-click on an arrow and label it accordingly so the workflow process is easier to understand.

2) Enhance your workflow experience with Data Lookups.

Each workflow queue can have its own data lookup and key to search for documents. For instance, in Accounts Payable the key field to search could be the PO # at one point in the process while another queue later in the process could have Cheque # as the primary key for lookup. This lookup capability enables users to easily index documents in a workflow queue so they can add supporting documents, ensure the data is accurate, and help advance the process.
