This is a summary of some salient features and milestones within Synergize. There are considerable new features and functions added on a regular basis that are not reflected here and new releases are issued every 12-14 months to incorporate client requests and market requirements.
1999
- Synergize first Implementation – ATS Transportation (40’000 documents per day) still in use!
2000
- Synergize v3 is released
- Synergize deployed at CN Rail, processing all documentation in revenue management depart over 150 users (still in use)
- Significant improvements to scanner management and document imaging quality
- Initial workflow engine is introduced
2001
- Synergize v4 is released
- Entry into healthcare market place
- Improvements to application specific features for healthcare such as limits on printing, patient chart structures for chart viewing, enhanced logging for better privacy management
- Printed documents are Watermarked to clearly define them as copies
2002
- Synergize v4 sp1 is released
- Distribution agreement with Healthland solutions, sees Synergize deployed as part of an integration solution with the Healthland EMR.
2003
- Synergize v6 is released
- Synergize is deployed at Sick Kids Hospital (5000+ users, many millions of documents online)
- Synergize is deployed at Boston medical Center
- Significant failover and clustering support is added.
- Management and scalability enhancements are introduced.
2004
- Synergize v7 is released
- Synergize server is re-written using .Net technology to improve management, standardization and performance
- Application multi-tenancy is introduced
- Application management is improved through new GUI tools
2005
- Synergize v8 is released
- Full web services Architecture is introduced for future web integration supplements existing COM interface.
- First versions of Synergize web browser interface are released for beta
- Added Sql 2005 support
2006
- Synergize v9 is released
- Synergize is deployed at XWAVE & integrated with the GE Centricity EMR
- Synergize integration with Eclypsis HIS is completed
- Synergize user interface transitions from Win32 to Browser technology
- Win32 user interface continues to be supported and remains compatible
2007
- Synergize is deployed at Electronic Child Health Network (eCHN) to provide a clinical document repository (CDR) that is accessed by all 70+ member hospitals
- Synergize is deployed at Kingston General Hospital, integrated with the Quadramed HIS system for patient records
- Synergize 2007 is released
- Extensive updates and features added to the web browser user interface
- New visual / graphical workflow is introduced
2008
- Synergize 2007 Sp1 & Sp3 released
- Updates to server performance
- Better management and integration with Active Directory
- Colour scanning support added
- Synergize Business Process server introduced (BPM)
2009
- Synergize 2007 sp3 released
- Synergize server capability upgraded to operate in Windows 2008 including 64bit versions
- Added support for SQL 2008 versions
- Synergize Business Process server significantly enhanced
- Synergize forms capture and OCR processing introduced
2010
- Synergize 2007 sp4 released May
- Synergize v12 due for release August
- Complete records management module
